Forming Overview

To complement our laser cutting facility, Onesite (Laser) Ltd offer an in-house forming service. Our goal is to eliminate any unnecessary administration, transport or manipulation costs post-delivery. By offering an in-house forming service, we can repeatedly produce high accuracy formed parts to tight tolerances. Removing the need to move parts between production facilities after receipt, reduces the overall cost of the component. We are always looking to expand on our current production capabilities in line with the requirements of our customer. From “one off” development parts, to “large batch” quantities, our new CAD software will enable us to offer a solution. Our new Metamation FLUX software has the capability to support 25+ file formats natively both in part and assembly formats.

We are now able to develop flat parts from 3D models accurately and with ease. No more reverse engineering using K Factors and black art guestimates. The formed part you want first time, on budget and on time.

New For 2021 - Xpert 80

  • Maximum process speed via high acceleration of the upper beam and back gauge making small parts quick and easy
  • The Process controlled reduces electric power consumption by up to 30 percent and decreases wear so better for the environment
  • Flexible tool selection and press capacity of up to 80 tons offer a wide range of application to enable the creation of complex parts
  • High ease of use through ergonomic design and individual customisable work environment keeping operators comfortable and safe

We must thank the D2N2 Business Investment Fund for their generous help with financing of the new machine. The team at Nottingham helped secure the grant that enabled Onesite (Laser) Limited invest in the latest forming technology from Bystronic in Switzerland. The new machine is primarily operated by one of our two
new engineering apprentices. Onesite (Laser) Limited would like to present to the world Kyle Simpson and Harvey Rodgers. Both Kyle and Harvey started a 4-year Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship at Doncaster College “The Hub” in September 2021. We wish them both well and we hope they remain with the organisation for many years to come.

Euromac Digibend 400

  • NC programmed back gauge
  • Automatic piece release
  • High precision – +/- 0.10 mm
  • Bending capacity – 200 mm high x 20 mm thick
  • Thin materials – 400 mm x 5 mm
  • Fast bending small parts

The unique selling point of this machine is the fact that we can bend a square. This may sound a little technically unchallenging, however, the basic structure of a conventional press is the fact that we cannot bend parts past the collision point with the machine. This results in certain components requiring additional weld runs. We can now create a part where by both the ends of the pressing can touch, thus reducing the amount of weld and costly jig tooling required to complete the project.
